Fees, Insurance, and Payment Policy

Amani Counseling Services provides individual and couples therapy for adults navigating anxiety, overthinking, relationship concerns, and life transitions. Therapy focuses on helping you better understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while developing more effective ways of responding in your daily life.

Many individuals and couples seek therapy when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Sessions provide space to process these experiences while also identifying patterns that may be contributing to ongoing distress.

The work is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based approaches, including cognitive and behavioral frameworks. Over time, therapy allows for increased awareness, improved emotional regulation, and more intentional decision-making.

Amani Counseling Services offers individual and couples therapy for adults seeking support with emotional, relational, and life-related concerns. We accept all major insurance plans. For clients using insurance, copays, coinsurance, and any deductible-related costs are due at the time of service.

Individual Therapy
Initial Intake Session: $145
Ongoing Sessions: $125

Couples Therapy
Initial Intake Session: $160
Ongoing Sessions: $145

Sessions are 50 minutes in length and are thoughtfully tailored to support your specific needs and goals throughout the therapeutic process.

For clients choosing to self-pay, the above rates apply. For those using insurance, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your individual plan benefits. We encourage you to verify your coverage, including copays and deductibles, prior to your first appointment.

Office Policy

We invest in many areas of our lives—our education, our homes, our appearance. Your mental and emotional well-being deserves that same level of care and intention. At Amani Counseling Services, we believe in transparency and clarity so you can make informed decisions about your care with confidence.

To support a smooth and consistent process, a valid credit card is required on file to schedule your intake (first) session. All session fees are due at the beginning of each appointment. This policy is applied consistently to all clients.

We understand that life happens and schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact our office by phone or text at 281-849-8566 as soon as possible. Providing advance notice allows us to offer that time to another client who may be waiting for support.

To avoid a late cancellation fee, we ask that you notify us at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled session. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee to the card on file.

In certain circumstances, the Scheduling Coordinator may waive the first late cancellation fee at their discretion. However, all subsequent late cancellations will be charged.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late or do not attend your session, it will be considered a no-show and the full session fee will be charged. Please note that sessions will still end at the originally scheduled time, even if you arrive late, in order to respect the time of both your therapist and other clients.

Compliance

While most concerns between a client and clinician can be resolved through direct communication, there may be circumstances that warrant further escalation. In accordance with the requirements of the State of Texas, the information below is provided to assist you should you need to file a formal report.

Alternatively, clients who have had positive experiences with their clinician and wish to support the practice are welcome to leave a review for Amani Counseling Services, PLLC.

  • If you believe you have been a victim fraudulent business practices in the State of Texas please contact the Attorney General's Office to file a consumer complaint.

Fees & Scheduling

Your care is tailored to your needs, goals, and the level of support that will best help you move forward. Together, we’ll decide on a session frequency that feels appropriate and sustainable for you.

Weekly Sessions (Recommended for active treatment)
If you’re working through active concerns, building skills, or processing ongoing stressors, meeting weekly gives you the consistency and support needed to make meaningful progress.

Biweekly Sessions
If you’ve started to gain stability and want continued support while practicing what you’ve learned, biweekly sessions may be a good fit.

Monthly Check-Ins
If you’re in a maintenance phase and looking for occasional support, accountability, or space to check in, monthly sessions can help you stay on track.

Sliding Scale Options

If cost is a concern, you’re welcome to bring that into the conversation. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available and can be discussed during your consultation.

Your session frequency isn’t something you have to figure out on your own. We’ll look at what you’re navigating, what support you need, and what will realistically help you feel more grounded and consistent between sessions.
